Abstract
Many authors have written about therapeutic interventions to support grieving patients, and less attention has been given to the grieving process that therapists face and its impact on their professional practice. This article addresses grief as one of the aspects of the therapist's personal life, highlighting the obstacles and supports, and revisits Gestalt theoretical proposals to understand grief from a relational perspective.
