Origin and goals
Conceived in August 2023, MORPHEÚS came to fruition with the publication of its first issue in April 2024, marking a milestone for the Faculty of Psychology at the Marist University of Queretaro. This launch represented the first concrete step toward consolidating the UMQ Editorial, a broader project aimed at building a solid culture of academic production and dissemination within the institution.
One of the distinctive aspects of MORPHEÚS is its ability to integrate the academic work of established researchers with new proposals from emerging professionals, promoting an intergenerational dialogue that broadens the understanding of the psychological landscape. Additionally, the journal offers a significant formative space for advanced students, who, under expert supervision, can collaborate and contribute in a high-level editorial environment, thereby enhancing their own academic development.
With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, MORPHEÚS positions itself as a platform where scientific rigor and critical reflection converge, serving as a benchmark for the academic community striving to advance contemporary psychological knowledge.
Structure
MORPHEÚS is organized into three sections designed to facilitate navigation between content and themes:
Poppies (Amapolas)
A section of specialized texts that address specific topics proposed in each issue by the Editorial Committee, ensuring the relevance and timeliness of the content. It includes essays and research articles that provide in-depth perspectives on specific issues in the field of psychology.
Wings (Alas)
A section that hosts research articles, essays, and reviews on various topics within the psychological discipline, without thematic restrictions. This space allows authors to propose their ideas, share their voice, and present emerging and novel topics, providing a broad view of the current psychological landscape.
Ebony (Ébano)
Presents narratives, poetry, and other creative texts that explore the human experience and its psychological component from a literary perspective.
